  4. There were some (swooping around the ruins of the mission church destroyed in an earthquake), but when we asked one of the volunteers on the grounds he said that there aren't as many as there had been several years ago. Apparently due to urbanization and the swallow habitat being destroyed.
    They also have some fake swallows' nests under some of the eaves to give the appearance of swallow-ness, but we did spot ONE real nest.
